There are seasons in life when believers discover God in the silence. Even while maintaining a daily spiritual routine, some may sense that something is missing and feel a gap between themselves and the Holy Spirit. During such times, prayer often becomes a simple request for Jesus to show the way forward. Through prayer and self-examination, the Holy Spirit may reveal areas of unresolved pain, past experiences, unforgiveness, and failures that have been hidden or suppressed. This can lead to a journey of healing and freedom from brokenness. One powerful truth the Holy Spirit teaches during healing is this: although the past cannot be changed, there is the ability to change today in order to build a better future. Forgiveness is an important part of this process—both forgiving oneself for wrong decisions and forgiving others who may have caused hurt. Healing is not always easy and often takes time. However, through continued prayer and studying Scripture, clarity can come to the ...

ARE YOU READY TO GO?

MATTHEW 28:19-20 Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of age. Jesus is instructing us to go, we should obey and take the gospel to the ends of the earth, then we will see more people in fellowship, more people educated in the truth and more people praising God. When this happens, our God will receive greater glory. Believers should go out into the world; we must travel where the lost reside. Let us join hands and go to the darkest areas of the world, in the streets, prisons or even in jungles. We must not be afraid God gave us assurance that He will be with us. It's a call for action to all believers. MARK16:15 Emphasizes the scope of our mission to reach every corner of the earth with the message of salvation. ACTS1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit co...

THE LOVE OF GOD

God's deepest desire for us, which is also our deepest desire, is to know the love of Christ and be filled with the fullness of God. Knowing His love and believing that He loves us is what satisfies our longing. God loves us all, and His love is unconditional and unlimited. He sent His only Son to die for our sins, and whoever believes in Him shall not die but have eternal life. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life." God made His love so intact that nothing can separate you from it; neither our past nor present can separate us from His love. Romans 8:35-39 Verse 35: "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?" His love is not like worldly love, for which you need to work. He simply loves us as we are. God's love is divine, perfect, and infinite. The Scriptures have cl...

REDEFINED ME: A NEW CREATION IN CHRIST

God, through the work of Christ, brought a new creation into existence from nothing, redefining our lives through His grace. He offers complete renewal to all who come to faith, redefining us through salvation. This is God’s great work—He forgives sin and offers eternal life to anyone who believes in Him as a free gift of His grace. We receive a new identity, redefined through our Lord Jesus. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE REDEFINED? To redefine means to reexamine, reevaluate, rename, or revisit something, changing its nature or boundaries. In Christ, we are given a new identity—a complete transformation of who we are. Ephesians 2:8-9 "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast." Jonah 2:9 "Salvation comes from the Lord." Through salvation, God renames us as His children, offering us a new identity and purpose in Him. This change redefines us into a new creation. John 1...

WHO TOUCHED ME?

In the Gospel of Luke, chapter 8, verse 45, we witness a profound moment when Jesus, feeling power leaving His body, asks the question, "Who touched me?" This simple yet significant inquiry reveals the remarkable nature of our Lord's power and the impact of genuine faith. Let us delve deeper into this extraordinary event and uncover its powerful lessons. In the midst of a large crowd, a woman suffering from a debilitating issue of blood for twelve years discreetly approaches Jesus. She had tried numerous treatments without success, but upon hearing about Jesus, she is filled with hope. Determined, she thinks to herself, "If only I can touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed." With unwavering faith, the woman manoeuvres through the crowd. She never loses sight of her goal and finally reaches out to touch the edge of Jesus' garment. Instantly, her bleeding ceases, and she feels the transformative power of Jesus flow through her. In that moment, Jesus st...

THE STRUGGLE OF THE FLESH IN OBEYING THE SPIRIT

God gave us His Son Jesus Christ to die for our sins and made us righteous through Him. Our Lord Jesus sent us the Holy Spirit our comforter, helper and teacher. The Holy Spirit teaches us to understand the spirit in us, so that we have His nature. The spirit in us is the righteousness of God.  Understanding the Spirit can be the toughest stage in one's Christian life. Most of us, after receiving the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal savior and as we start reading the Word of God, we realize that we are meant to live by the Spirit. We try as much as we can to exercise it, but our flesh is a challenge and we find ourselves doing exactly what we don't want to do. The biggest challenge most Christians face is normally the tongue, saying things that we end up regretting. But its normal that we face these challenges for it also happened to our brothers and sisters in the Bible. Apostle Paul said, in Romans 7 vs 15, I do not understand what I do, for I don't do what I would like ...

A LEGACY OF PEACE, JOY & LOVE

Many people in this world spend their whole entire lives trying to achieve wealth, so that they can leave an inheritance for their children when they die and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, we need to realise that there is more to leaving a legacy than just material things. Most of us get so consumed by finding ways to make money and will literally do anything we can to achieve that goal, including sacrificing the happiness of the very children that we are struggling for... It's so sad that this has been a generational problem, the same message of leaving an inheritance of wealth is all our forefathers as well as us have focused on. There was never the same amount of emphasis given to leaving a legacy of love, joy and peace for your children to pass on. Teaching your children to live in love, joy and peace, exercising it everyday for their benefit and the people around them. The bible says the following about these 3 amazing fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5 v...

THERE IS A SOLUTION

The world is so dark at the moment, so much going on, we can’t even switch on the TV and watch some good news, something to show us that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s all negative and it doesn't seem to be getting any better, but one thing is for sure, even though the world is the way it is, there is a light and a hope, you can find peace within all the chaos. Jesus has said that we will encounter trials and tribulations in this world, but He also said be of good cheer for He has overcome the world (John 16:33), which means He will see us through, victorious, full of joy and peace.  How do you find this peace you may ask? Well, it has all been shown to us in the word of God, the bible. Start by: Understanding who Jesus is, the authority that He has. (Matthew 28:18-20) The role of the Holy Spirit in your life and ask Him to help you understand who you are as a child of God and the authority you have over every situation (Romans 8:14) Understanding the depth of the ...

A NEW FAMILY

Have you ever wondered what it really means to be a Christian? What it means to be a child of God?  Well, being a child of God is to understand who you are and grasping the importance of the sacrifice that Jesus made for you. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 6 vs 18 – “And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, Says the Lord Almighty.” This clearly states that you now have a new Father who desires to have a relationship with you, just like any real father would. So your identity as a Christian is that you are a child of God and it is a sure guarantee!  It’s the same as how you don’t question your identity as a person. You are who you are, your name and surname, and your parents are who they are. There is no doubt in your mind that they are your parents, it’s just the way it is. The same kind of faith is what you need to exercise in acknowledging who you are as a Christian. When you choose to become a Christian all the promises in the bible come in...

KNOWING OUR HELPER: THE HOLY SPIRIT

After accepting our Lord Jesus as our personal Saviour, most of us Christians still struggle in many areas of our lives because we don’t know the Holy Spirit is in us. He is part of the Trinity God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit.   In John 14 vs 15-20, Our Lord Jesus Christ speaks about Him, ‘’And I will ask my Father, he will give you an advocate who will help you and be with you forever, the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him nor know him. But you know him, he lives with you and will be in you.’’ What an amazing truth that we have an advocate and helper who lives in us! Now let us look at some steps to discover this Helper of ours: Firstly, we must acknowledge that Holy Spirit is in us living inside of us, just as our Lord Jesus said. Once we acknowledge Him, it’s time to know more of who He is so that we can start living accordingly. Galations 5 vs 22 gives us the nine attributes of a person living in one accord with the Spirit of God, these in...
