A LEGACY OF PEACE, JOY & LOVE

Many people in this world spend their whole entire lives trying to achieve wealth, so that they can leave an inheritance for their children when they die and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, we need to realise that there is more to leaving a legacy than just material things. Most of us get so consumed by finding ways to make money and will literally do anything we can to achieve that goal, including sacrificing the happiness of the very children that we are struggling for...

It's so sad that this has been a generational problem, the same message of leaving an inheritance of wealth is all our forefathers as well as us have focused on. There was never the same amount of emphasis given to leaving a legacy of love, joy and peace for your children to pass on. Teaching your children to live in love, joy and peace, exercising it everyday for their benefit and the people around them. The bible says the following about these 3 amazing fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5 vs 22):

Peace - Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4 vs 6-7). This verse teaches us how to live a life without anxiety, a problem that plagues our generation immensely. This is a key to making sure your children do not have to struggle with the pressures of life and become anxious to the point of needing other stimulants just to keep them going.

Joy - Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength (Nehemiah 8 vs 10). This verse teaches us where to find strength in this world filled with so much hardship and pain. This is another key to teaching your children where to get their strength from when the hard times come along.

Love - Love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22 vs 39). This one teaches us to be self-less in a world that teaches us to only think of ourselves and what makes us happy. Serving others and giving out is the secret to true happiness, teach your children how to live a life full of joy by loving other people around them just as much as they love themselves.

How wonderful it will be to leave an inheritance of such fundamental truths to our children? The word of God is full of so many truths that will be an encouragement to our children when we are gone, words to give them life and a hope for the future, so instead of just focusing on making sure that their physical lives are taken care of, lets consider leaving a legacy that will give them so much more fulfillment. Jesus came and died for us to have life in abundance (John 10 vs 10), so lets take a full hold of that promise!

Be blessed...

There are seasons in life when believers discover God in the silence. Even while maintaining a daily spiritual routine, some may sense that something is missing and feel a gap between themselves and the Holy Spirit. During such times, prayer often becomes a simple request for Jesus to show the way forward. Through prayer and self-examination, the Holy Spirit may reveal areas of unresolved pain, past experiences, unforgiveness, and failures that have been hidden or suppressed. This can lead to a journey of healing and freedom from brokenness. One powerful truth the Holy Spirit teaches during healing is this: although the past cannot be changed, there is the ability to change today in order to build a better future. Forgiveness is an important part of this process—both forgiving oneself for wrong decisions and forgiving others who may have caused hurt. Healing is not always easy and often takes time. However, through continued prayer and studying Scripture, clarity can come to the ...

WHO TOUCHED ME?

In the Gospel of Luke, chapter 8, verse 45, we witness a profound moment when Jesus, feeling power leaving His body, asks the question, "Who touched me?" This simple yet significant inquiry reveals the remarkable nature of our Lord's power and the impact of genuine faith. Let us delve deeper into this extraordinary event and uncover its powerful lessons. In the midst of a large crowd, a woman suffering from a debilitating issue of blood for twelve years discreetly approaches Jesus. She had tried numerous treatments without success, but upon hearing about Jesus, she is filled with hope. Determined, she thinks to herself, "If only I can touch the hem of His garment, I will be healed." With unwavering faith, the woman manoeuvres through the crowd. She never loses sight of her goal and finally reaches out to touch the edge of Jesus' garment. Instantly, her bleeding ceases, and she feels the transformative power of Jesus flow through her. In that moment, Jesus st...

ARE YOU READY TO GO?

MATTHEW 28:19-20 Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of age. Jesus is instructing us to go, we should obey and take the gospel to the ends of the earth, then we will see more people in fellowship, more people educated in the truth and more people praising God. When this happens, our God will receive greater glory. Believers should go out into the world; we must travel where the lost reside. Let us join hands and go to the darkest areas of the world, in the streets, prisons or even in jungles. We must not be afraid God gave us assurance that He will be with us. It's a call for action to all believers. MARK16:15 Emphasizes the scope of our mission to reach every corner of the earth with the message of salvation. ACTS1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit co...
