THERE IS A SOLUTION

The world is so dark at the moment, so much going on, we can’t even switch on the TV and watch some good news, something to show us that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. It’s all negative and it doesn't seem to be getting any better, but one thing is for sure, even though the world is the way it is, there is a light and a hope, you can find peace within all the chaos. Jesus has said that we will encounter trials and tribulations in this world, but He also said be of good cheer for He has overcome the world (John 16:33), which means He will see us through, victorious, full of joy and peace.  How do you find this peace you may ask? Well, it has all been shown to us in the word of God, the bible. Start by: Understanding who Jesus is, the authority that He has. CONNECTING TO THE FATHER

  Now you are a part of this amazing family of God, what next? Well God definitely wants a relationship with you and sometimes it may feel hard to connect to Him because the world has made our hearts cold, due to disappointment or pain that has caused us to protect our ourselves from any further rejection. Then Jesus comes along and wants to introduce us to this love that is so pure and perfect, we just don't know how to receive it. How do we learn to let go of our past hurts and pain, so that we can connect to the Father's love? Here are a few ways: Trust in Him - trust that He has your best interests at heart no matter what your circumstances looks like, He works all things for the good to those who love Him - R omans 8:28. Speak to Him - tell him what is going on in your life, share your deepest secrets and struggle. He wants to heal you - Proverbs 3:5-6. Seek Him - get to know Him, who is this one true God? A NEW FAMILY

Have you ever wondered what it really means to be a Christian? What it means to be a child of God?  Well, being a child of God is to understand who you are and grasping the importance of the sacrifice that Jesus made for you. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 6 vs 18 – “And I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, Says the Lord Almighty.” This clearly states that you now have a new Father who desires to have a relationship with you, just like any real father would. So your identity as a Christian is that you are a child of God and it is a sure guarantee!  It’s the same as how you don’t question your identity as a person. You are who you are, your name and surname, and your parents are who they are. There is no doubt in your mind that they are your parents, it’s just the way it is. KNOWING OUR HELPER: THE HOLY SPIRIT

  After accepting our Lord Jesus as our personal Saviour, most of us Christians still struggle in many areas of our lives because we don’t know the Holy Spirit is in us. He is part of the Trinity God the Father, God the Son and the Holy Spirit.   In John 14 vs 15-20, Our Lord Jesus Christ speaks about Him, ‘’And I will ask my Father, he will give you an advocate who will help you and be with you forever, the Spirit of Truth. The world cannot accept him nor know him. But you know him, he lives with you and will be in you.’’ What an amazing truth that we have an advocate and helper who lives in us! Now let us look at some steps to discover this Helper of ours: Firstly, we must acknowledge that Holy Spirit is in us living inside of us, just as our Lord Jesus said. BUILDING HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS

  We live in a world whereby there is co-existence with each other; therefore building healthy relationships around us is of great importance. So how can we describe a healthy relationship? What exactly does it entail? Well…it consists of the following guidelines: good communication, mutual respect, trust, honesty, understanding and care . Let’s look at each characteristic in more detail! Good Communication - Communication is extremely crucial in any type of relationship. You need to make sure that you are clear with the information conveyed to the other person and they have understood exactly what you want them to or mean. However, communication is two-way, share ideas and opinions with one another. It is also good to ask questions for clarity. And remember to practice patience and self-control of your emotions in order to come to a satisfactory understanding on both sides. COPING WITH FAILURE

At some point in life, we have all faced challenges or obstacles and for some we have succeeded in overcoming the difficulties that come along our way, but other times we are unable to get the desired results we want and this is what we call failure.  Failure entails being unable to achieve set goals, when things don’t go according to your plans or when we make mistakes and bad decisions. It is normal to feel disappointed or discouraged when you fail, which is an even more reason to learn how to cope with the negative outcomes; as the feelings associated with failure may limit your success in moving forward and learning from the experience. So how do you cope with failure? Let’s take a look at the following guidelines: Allow yourself to go through the emotions - it’s ok to feel bad, upset or angry with the undesired results, so give yourself the time to feel the emotions. IT'S NEVER TOO LATE

  Are you ready to start living according to the Word that God has spoken over your life? If you look into yourself, everything is available to you - instructions, teachings and assignments that were given to you by the Holy Spirit or through the Word of God. All you have to do is act on it in Faith. Being a Christian requires you to listen and pay close attention like a student learning something new for the first time. Be alert and write down what the Holy Spirit is revealing to you, avoiding distractions so that you don’t miss out on what is being downloaded into your spirit. Distractions can be the things around us, for example, watching your favourite movie during the time that you had dedicated for prayer. When you have set aside time for the things of God, make sure your heart, soul and mind are fully engaged.
